Awesome Ashland

I can't say enough about what an awesome time we had. My brother-in-law and I were extremely pleased with the cabin, the campground, and the great staff. If it be the good Lord's will, we will return again and again. We plan to make another trip before the leaves grow back out, but likely it will be late winter or early spring just due to family commitments through the Christmas season. We met lots of friendly folks who were also guests, and they all had great things to say about the campground, and staff. Just keep up the good work, and you will never have a shortage of repeat customers, I assure you. God Bless, Happy Thanksgiving, and Merry Christmas, Les Crews, Kernersville, NC

As always we had a great time here at Ashland resort and will definitely be back many more times. This is probably my 8 time staying here and we love it. Although with that said there are a few things my group would like to see changed in the future. #1 and most important they need to add somewhere on the property a place where we can wash out ATV's and SXS's off at the end of our stay before loading back into our RV's and trailers, #2 my group thinks a 11pm quiet time would be more suitable instead of 10pm as we are there to have a good time and relax and get away from our busy lives back home. Other than that I give them a grade a service establishment.

Awesome Weekend @ Ashland Resort

Our family celebrated our son's 13th Birthday at Ashland Resort arriving on Friday afternoon and leaving on Sunday. We rode our ATVs approximately 150 miles in the 3 days and had a terrific time. As it was our first time to the area, we had lots of questions and the staff was friendly, well informed about the area, and very helpful. The 3 of us stayed in a Park Model and had plenty of room. The only change I would make to the units would be to add multiple hooks on the wall for clothes. Since there are no closets, we had wet or damp clothes hanging everywhere. Other than that, I loved the place and, we made it work by hanging stuff on the bunk bed rails. We paid the additional $25 fee for the linens. I think for the price charged for the weekend, that the linens should be included but that isn't a big deal. After staying there, we will take our own linens in the future (I now know what we would need and use). Since we wanted to ride on Sunday after checkout time, they allowed us to park our trucks and trailers in a safe area until we were ready to leave. There is a trail that comes through the resort and it is very easy access to multiple Hatfield-McCoy trail systems. So, the convenience is a plus! I think the value received was in line with the charges with the exception of the linens but, that is definitely not a deal breaker for us. We will definitely be going back (soon, I hope) and we can't wait until that time. We were allowed to check out the lodges (cabins with bedrooms) while there and depending on the number in our group, we may try to rent a lodge. If not, we will be more than happy to spend another weekend in the Park Models.

Fall Riding

Stayed in a Deluxe Lodge during the cold snap in November, great accommodations for cold nights. Good riding over and breaking through the frozen water holes and having a warm lunch in Bramwell. Was impressed with the number of guests still riding in the cold weather, we thought it might just be us Canadians! Well worth the drive.
