Excellent Excellent Experience

We have never had so much fun! Our group has ridden four wheelers and RZRs all down the east coast. A group of ten of us took a four day weekend and stayed at Ashland Resort. Some of them stayed in their campers and some of us stayed in a cottage. The camper hookups were so convenient. The cottage was so clean. It was a little smaller than I pictured but it fit us just fine. We brought a little too much gear but we didn't know what to expect with winter riding. The cabin kitchen was equipped with everything, the fire pit was excellent, and the covered front deck was nice for storage. I would not be comfortable going without a GPS and trail maps. We rode so many miles and saw some beautiful sights. We were so impressed with the shop and the staff. We got 20 miles down the road hauling trailers and campers and realized my husband left his wallet in the cabin. A staff member (I can't remember her name, but she drives a Dodge Durango) brought his wallet to him at a local gas station so we wouldn't have to try to turn all the trucks and trailers around. I couldn't believe it. We will definitely be back frequently. Thank you all so much!

Upstate NY

First trip from upstate NY all the way down to West Virginia took us about 11 hours. There were 10 of us all together. Make no mistake about it Ashland ATV Resort is geared for the off road enthusiast. Im sure you can find less expensive accommodations but why. As advertised they are centered right in the middle of the Hatfield / McCoy trail systems. The cabins were clean and comfy. We arrived on Friday afternoon about 3 and we were riding by 4. As it turned out that day was the best for us weather wise. We awoke early Saturday got our stuff together fueled up at the reception area of Ashland (convenient) and hit a completely different trail system than the previous afternoon. The weather turned for the worst with a cold rain pounding down on us most of the day. Thank god for rain gear! We made the most of it and enjoyed what was the best trail riding you can imagine. It was great to get back to our cabins to find heat hot showers and cooking facilities. That night it got even colder and we awoke to approx. 2" of wet snow which made it even more interesting of a ride on Sunday. That day we headed out to a completely different trail system again right from Ashland. We rode all day in snow and hail but it didnt dampen our spirits we felt like kids at Christmas. In closing even though the weather was not cooperative to say the least we made the most of our stay at Ashland Resort. The resort was great and worth the extra few dollars it may cost to stay with them knowing you can feel comfortable with the accommodations and convenience of a general store, gas and of course the fabulous trails that completely surround their resort. Hopefully when we return in 2018 with probably more off road enthusiasts mother nature treats us a little better.
