Great Park

Great Park, but it is noisey. It has a great location just off of the interstate, but you do get road noise. Nice sized sites with easy in, easy out.

Our Bluebonnet Time

We checked into Bluebonnet on December 1, 2013. We did not know how long we would stay - my husband was working in Rockwall - but we ended up staying 40 months. Yes, three years and four months. That is a long time. We enjoyed the people we met and became friends with several members and staff people, including the owners. We enjoyed the group activities and even won at Bingo a few times. It is nice being in Terrell's zip code and being close to Forney. We went to Dallas a few times, but ususally stayed in Mesquite or closer to Bluebonnet. We have spent the last many years in Dallas and there is not much we haven't done. Terrell is a nice little town and we often ate there. Forney is also nice, and it has Doe Belly's Catfish House, which we loved. The strip in Mesquite with restaurants and a theater is really just a few miles farther than Forney. Everything is close to Hwy 80. We left Bluebonnet on March 31, 2017. Will we return? Perhaps. We don't know our schedule, but we know if we come back to the area, Bluebonnet is where we will stay. We have good friends there and it is a wonderful place.

Heaven on the Lake
0 % of users found this review helpful
Beautiful spacious park, easy to find, near Canton Trade Days, an hour from metroplex. Right outside of Terrell with grocery, restaurants, outlet mall. Our site faced a lake, was quiet, lots of geese and the peaceful sound of two fountains out in the Lake. Only spent one night but definitely plan to go back. We drove a 40 ft. motorhome and paid $40 for our 50 amp site, with the Sams Club discount. Trash is picked up daily. At check in, a neat little bonus...2 chocolate chip cookies! We weren't there long enough to explore park amenities/activities, but our experience was excellent even without those extras. Reservations necessary, because other people have discovered this heaven on the lake.
