I had looked at this park for a few years now and had heard a lot of great things about it so we finally decided to make a weekend trip for Mothers Day. The park is gated with a key code for security, clean beyond belief and beautifully landscaped. We stayed in the upper section with our daughter and family dog. It was amazing how nice the staff was and also the other campers. The lower camp section was right on the Juniata River and looked awesome as well. They had numerous activities planned for the weekend and we were entertained for the whole time. The owners were on site and I even visited with him for awhile. Overall a great experience.

Buttonwood Campground is and has always been a favorite of ours. The owners are on site, friendly and helpful. The staff is supberb!The grounds are landscaped beautfully and the campground is super clean. We camp here every year and LOVE it!! No complaints!!!!

This is the second year in a row we have gone camping for Mother's day weekend. It was fantastic. I host foreign exchange students and we love to camp at Buttonwood with them because Ryan and his family are so friendly and make our experience the best. We love the activities, always something to do. The facilities are always clean and even includes laundry. Love that they are pet friendly also.

Buttonwood is clean, safe and a great family campground. We have been going for a few years and recommend this to everyone we know. Keep up the good work.

After having a not so great experience with Juniata Adventures, and not being able to get our reserved shuttle ride to a kayak drop in location for some unknown reason, we regrouped and headed back to our camp tent site at Buttonwood. They were awesome in explaining price and drop in location and how long it would take to paddle back to camp. They were even awesome about wanting to use our own kayaks and easily picked them up from our camp ground site. The whole weekend was enjoyable but it was really nice flexible of Buttonwood camp ground to be able to provide us with last minute shuttle rides when our already per-reserved shuttle ride elsewhere, fell through. No point in going up the road when everything you need is right at Buttonwood. One stop shuttle camp gaming location with extremely clean bathrooms and very friendly owners and staff.

Totally awesome! Staff was phenomenal from the moment we checked in! First time my husband ever drove the camper so we were all very nervous about backing into the site. We were escorted to our site and Ryan helped us back right in with no problems at all! Beautifully landscaped. Very clean. Felt very safe allowing my kids to ride their bikes down to the bounce pillow and pool. We all had so much fun. You could tell the owners and their family want to make sure the kids have a great time. Only thing we didn't get to do was Kayak but no worries! We are planning on coming back again and again!

We stayed in the new section by the river. What a nice rv site looking out over the water. The owners were very helpful from the begining to the end of our stay with leading the way to our site by gulf cart. All the help and the owners were very plesent in making our stay wonderful.Lots to do at Buttonwood Campground and the grounds were nicely landscaped. We camped at Buttonwood about 4 years ago and we saw alot of great improvements. I told Dennis as we were leaving we will make sure we get back this year.

Great experience very friendly staff beautiful sites lots of things to do great for children also horseshoes mini golf. Pool. We will def come back here 5 stars

I got a creek side lot, water pressure was good, sewer hookup was in good condition, electric was stable and even the cable TV worked well! Level lot without mud (rained the first night). Was cold when we were there but I plan to go back to kayak that creek next to it. If you're a light sleeper the the trains on the other side of the creek may wake you (must be a whistle sign on the rail across the creek from the campground). The only complaint I had was Pennsylvania prohibits transporting firewood around the state so bringing your own may be illegal. Their firewood is kind of pricey and burns VERY quickly. With all the woodlands around there I'm sure they can find cheaper firewood.

One thing I can say about the place is that it is a place were the kids can go and be happy and have fun.The family that owns the campground it is all about family and not themselfs.
