New favorite RV park

The staff was superb. Helpful, concerned, experienced. I can't say enough about our experience. We were snowed/iced in and low on propane so they helped us to get our RV filled. The pulled thru was easy in and easy out. The access from I-57 is again easy off, easy on. Three miles from Walmart, restaurants, and any other needs. Low noise from expressway. Free WiFi makes staying in touch with family easy. Will definitely be back. Will become a routine stop on the way to visit our son and his family in Indiana.

Was there for a long term stay. We have stayed at a lot of rv parks with our travels all over and I have to say that this was by far one of the best places that we have stayed.

I will be returning to this park for future stays. WE are thinking about getting season tickets next year for U OF I football and tailgating at the park.

OK, if...

We usually stay 50 miles further south, but wanted to be closer to Chicago on our way north, so we finally stayed here after years of bypassing this park at least 30 times on I57. All of the facilities/amenities were adequate/OK/average except one. The sewer was not only too far back on our pull through site but it was also too far off the RV pad. Even if I had kept the RV as far back in the site as possible, I would have needed over 20' of hose to reach the sewer. However, I had to move fairly far forward in the site to be clear of the trees for roof satellite TV reception. Because of this situation, I did not hook up to the sewer, but did back up and use it the next morning. This site would not have been acceptable for a multi-night stay. Not all sites have this problem, but enough do that makes it a concern. I saw numerous RV with 30'+ of sewer hose or not hooked up to the sewer.
