Charlie and Lucile have improved the campground every year since they bought it and have really created a first rate facility. Lots of activities and very clean facilities. Would definitely recommend dogwood acres.

Charlie and Lucille had to be the nicest people we have ever met running a campground. We've camped at ALOT of places but we have never felt so welcome anywhere. They took the time to get to know us, shared family stories and made sure we knew that they truly were happy we chose to stay there. Everything they did was with a smiling face. :) and the full service cabin we stayed at was super clean and so comfortable. We will definitely be returning again and again! Thank you so much Charlie and Lucille! You guys have an awesome thing going there!! Hope to see you all soon again!

First off this was a fantastic experience not only for me but for my wife and 7 year old son who has never gone camping before. The campground is well groomed and taken care of. The facilities are clean as well as the cabin we stayed in. The owners and their family members are kind and very hard working. There was lots of stuff to do to keep the whole family occuppied like, paddle boats, fishing,game room and many others. I would 100 percent recommend this campground for any one who has a family or just wants to have a nice relaxing camping experience.

From the cleanliness of the facilities, to the family oriented activities, my family loved this campground. There was a “warm” feel to the place that made us feel welcome and wanted at the different activities that weekend. The store was unique, with the ice cream and slushies. My oldest loved the disc golf course, while my youngest spent hours in the playground--and the game room. We plan to come back soon. We had such a good time!

This is a Wonderful place to camp, and enjoy some quiet time with your family. It's a clean, well kept campground, nestled in a quiet country setting, far away from the busyness of everyday life. If you enjoy sitting with your family around the campfire or splashing in the pool with other families, this campground offers lots of fun and relaxing opportunities. Almost every weekend there is an activity or a theme. There is a non-denominational church service on Sunday mornings (this is a BIG plus for us!). They offer wagon rides through the campground that the kids enjoy. They have a really nice playground with new equipment added this year. The pond is a nice place to sit and relax on a swing, or ride in a paddle boat, or just sit on the side and fish. It has a nice water fountain in the middle that lights up at night. They offer Frisbee Golf, Volley Ball, Horse Shoes, Shuffle Board, etc. for outdoor activities and video games, pool, checkers, etc that are indoor. They also have a nice gift shop that they are always adding new merchandise for camping/fishing needs, local crafts, and souvenirs. We looked around for a campground that would be safe and fun for our family. This met both qualifications. If you are a family that enjoys relaxing and doing things together in a Friendly Family type environment...Dogwood Acres is the place! We also love the fact that the Campground participate in different fundraisers, including the Ronald McDonald House which they have even donated a room for guests there. We Love Dogwood Acres and appreciate all that the owners do to keep it clean, safe, and enjoyable for all of us! They will also inform you if any local activities are going on and places to go site-see or places to eat if you are new to the area. We have been camping for over 30 years and have never been happier with our experience at Dogwood Acres Campground! Charlie is truly unique in the personal attention he provides the moment you call for a reservation, through your entire stay, and to the moment you depart. He eliminates any guesswork on your part as he guides you into your site and visits on occasion to see if everything is meeting your satisfaction. He was especially helpful to my daughter and son-in-law, as it was their first time camping in their trailer. The "family" atmosphere you experience is refreshing also, as other campers welcome you to Dogwood and make you feel like you are home with family. The Strubs should be proud of what they have accomplished with this business, and we would recommend it to any and all campers and travelers. I would also say that it is well worth the effort and the few miles from the Interstate if you want to experience the peace and tranquility that South Central PA. has to offer at the base of the Blue Mountains.

We looked at campgrounds in the area and yours was the very best. The area is beautiful and close to many places to visit. We hope to spend many relaxing days at your campground this summer. would like to say that our recent camping experience at dogwood acres was great. the owners, staff and the people there are great. everyone is so friendly, makes you want to come back. in addition, the campground is very clean, playground equipment for the little ones has been updated and my grandchildren had a wonderful time there, we will be back, thanks for showing us a good time, look forward to seeing the campground soon for a fun time.

We called and the owners were wonderful! Charlie and Lucille bent over backwards to get us set up in the cabin a day before the campground opening date for my Birthday!! When we arrived they had our cabin warmed up and ready. The cabin was clean and just drop dead beautiful. All the comforts of home!! It was a wonderful experience. We are planning on returning sometime this season. My son and his family are coming along with their 5th wheel. I would highly recommend this campground to anyone!! Thank you Charlie and Lucille!! We'll be coming back this season with the children and grandchildren!!!
