A MUST camping experience

A VERY family oriented campground. The owners and staff are VERY friendly, courteous, and do whatever it takes to make your stay very comfortable whether its in a tent, travel trailer, motor home or one of their lovely cabins. Close to historic Gettysburg, Pa. You can visit the city, battlefields and the many restaurants and shops. The restrooms are very clean and accessible. They have a very well stocked store and a café for a snack or ice cream. I would recommend this campground to anyone who wants to stay for a couple days or make it a complete vacation. I would like to say THANK YOU to the owners and staff at Gettysburg Campground for a very memorable stay. A VERY HAPPPY CAMPER Bill

Love the campground! It is a couple of minutes outside of Gettysburg. The workers there are very nice, friendly and helpful. Bathrooms/showers are the cleanest I've seen. Will be going back next year. Do not follow your gps...it's easier to go into Gettysburg and take a right at the traffic light on Seminary Ridge.

Great Place

Stayed here 8 nights and 7 days in mid July on family vacation. Escorted us to our site and made sure we were all OK. Very helpful and friendly staff in office and riding around the park. Knew a great deal about local legends and lore and freely shared to all on our site. Very nice personal touch when "Bill" came back to show our daughter and her friend how to "hunt" ghost. They do have both pull thru and back-in sites that are gravel and grass and fairly level. Depending on where you are, facilities are a short work. Store had limited stock but did stay open to 8 or 9. The sites are a bit close, but no worse than others. Close to Gettysburg and battlefields. Good activities on weekends for kids. Would recommend and will return. Only about an hours drive from Hershey. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

get-away week-end

We both found that we had a free week-end together and thought, "why don't we go camping"? Not wanting to travel too far from home, we headed to Gettysburg (a 40 min drive.) From the time we arrived at the campsite we noticed how large the pads were and also void of bothersome rocks. We were a bit nervous about the closeness to the port-o-let, but were put a ease by the frequent visits from the staff to maintain them. We also made use of the shower room. Let me just say, I have been tent camping for many years and this shower room has been by FAR the BEST I have encountered. The Staff is always cleaning and replacing toilet tissue. Aside from the accommodations, we also noticed the many activities offered for all ages. We had Ben, our golden retriever, along with us and he loved the access to the Marsh Creek. The was so....tired by the end of the day. In all, we had an amazingly relaxing week-end. And will most likely use Gettysburg Campground again.
