I love Keen Lake I only live about 20 minutes away but I feel like I am a hundred miles away when I camp at Keen Lake. We stay right on the lake and it is the most beautiful spot. Everything about Keen Lake is wonderful, the sisters are the best. We stayed 9 times in 2013 and I have already booked trips for 2014. Love Love Love Keen Lake

We stayed in the Laurel Cottage. Great location. Right on lake. Quieter location than the Schoolhouse. Great spot for family with dog.Accomodations very comfortable. Great gas grill on porch. Pool is always well maintained. Great place.

Schoolhouse in Fall

We stayed in the Schoolhouse for a weekend in late September. The view is breathtaking! So quiet and peaceful. The lake is beautiful, the house was spacious, spotlessly clean and right on the lake. We loved eating outside on the deck overlooking the gorgeous scenery and walking out the door in the morning to fish a few yards from the house. Sitting around the fire on the lakeshore was an evening treat. The resort was so nice, very well maintained and clean with lots of activities for the kids. Well stocked camp store and restaurant/snack bar staffed with very friendly people. Dog friendly but completely clean and under control. Everyone, including the other guests were so nice! We will definitely go back if, for nothing else, just to sit and look at that view of the lake.

We love this place! Stayed for 3 nights on Hermit Island we loved the seclusion and the quite. We brought our puppy who loved walking in the woods and being on the row boat (included) every day. The fishing wasn't good don't know why everyone bragged about the lake and the amount of fish they catch there and we are big on fishing and know what we are doing. I think it's just very fished out, maybe it should be catch and release for a few years to bring it back or maybe just a bad couple of fishing days for us it didn't matter really we had a blast. The grounds are beautiful we walked every day meandering through the campground it's clean and peaceful and QUITE we will be back here again and we are looking forward to it! Almost all the people we met were very nice except for a few that seemed annoyed at us transients I know how they feel we were seasonal at a resort for 10+yrs I get it. Lot's of Pros here including a well stocked country store and tons of boats to rent. Hermit Island cabin was great including the wonderful queen room the mattress was so comfy I could have slept all day in it. Okay for the Cons of the cabin on Hermit Island there were tons of dog doo around the fire pit and tables where we had to remove it with a shovel to the far point of the woods (bad). The shower was def in need of a new shower head it barely sprinkled outwards and not on your body. The floors were very dirty needed a good swiffering all our socks were black bring your slippers! There was a tank of propane that was leaking propane which scared me a bit we told the office about this and they had said that they were informed of this already. I just wish they had fixed it before our stay because when the kitchen windows were opened the house reeked of propane :( In total we will be back maybe seasonal one day. Thanks to everyone who made it wonderful and relaxing!!!! PS New propane grill and cable tv was a pleasant surprise! :)
