We have never stayed at a campground before but based on Trip Advisor reviews decided to give Lake George RV Park a try. I'm glad we did! The rental unit that we stayed in was immaculate. Every staff member that we encountered was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the wildlife and reptile demonstrations as well as the nightly entertainment. Onsite activities that we took advantage of included bike trails, pools, playgrounds, tennis, shuffleboard, bocce, bonfires, fishing and paddleboats. The in-park trolley was a nice convenience. We enjoyed day trips to Six Flags Great Escape and Herkimer Diamond Mines. We also spent a day in the Village and splashed around at Shepard Park Beach. I think it would be fun if the park had a daily itinerary to help bring people together. Things like tug-of-war, hool-a-hoop contest, family kickball, etc. Oh, one more thing...our kids got a kick out of having their photos taken with Toasty the Marshmallow!

This is the 28th year that my family and I have gathered at Lake George RV park and we are still in love. For 26 of those visits, my parents had a 36' camper and we used pull through sites mostly in 'the pines'. This place is always improving-it's entertainment, facilities, and staff. A dog place to come? Seriously smart. For my little branch (5 of us) of the big family (15) we have rented the wilderness lodging to be close to everyone else. Other than the price increasing, we are very satisfied with the stationary camper. The site is beautiful at arrival(cleaned, swept, grass trimmed) and its set up is great. I do think that the price of $1800 is steep. One of my family members stayed at a suite hotel for $175.00 per night down the road- with breakfast each morning. So, is it worth being at the RV park? Yes-will I have to do more research though to save money-unfortunately yes.

Great week

My family went to Lake George for a week in July. We really enjoyed camping at Lake George RV Resort. To start, it is so nice that all of your streets are paved. The East Lodge was awesome. My boys loved the snack bar/ice cream place and we had fun playing in the family lodge while it rained outside. The few shows that we saw were very good. The dog park was not open yet, but the grounds looked beautiful. We would definitely recommended this campground.

Needed an over night stay after having a mechanical problem with our RV. Site was a pull thru with shade and plenty of space, level and convenient hookups. Registration was straight forward and quick.
