We were there for a week at Easter. This was our first visit. We enjoyed the park and all it's amenities. The park is well maintained and clean.

Spring Break 2018

My wife and I camped at Lake Wood for most of March and through half of April. For the most part we loved our experience at Lake Wood except for Spring Break. The major issue for us was the golf cart and how reckless the underage drivers were. The cart had too many passengers on them, the kids were using their phones while driving them and the music was blasting. Additional security is required during these times. Other than that, we had a lovely time in Myrtle. We just won't be back during and school breaks.

Spring Break 2018

I camped in our 5th wheel for 2 weeks here again this Spring Break. We had 4 kids ages 3-10 who enjoyed all the amenities, even the ice cold pool. Glad it was open early for the families. Kids Club was lots of fun. My only gripe was the golf carts!!! The kids driving those golf carts were out of control. Did not allow cars to enter the main road and were cutting cars off by circling around. Almost hit two of these myself. You need to hire security to card these kids and read the rules of the road. Could not walk at night for fear of being run over. Regarding the policy of personal golf carts being allowed, if you are handicapped you should be able to bring your own golf cart. This is an extra expense for seniors or folks that can't walk the distance. The policy needs to be revised.

Not a bad visit
0 % of users found this review helpful
Weather was fine, and the trip was relaxing. A couple of items worth mentioning. The campground is renovating their camp store, but we received an email notification prior to the visit. There were a lot of underage kids driving golf carts, and this did not appear to be reinforced by security. They are typically very good about this issue, but it was noticeably bad during this visit.
