Description

Some of the most famous attractions in the world are right outside your door when staying at Las Vegas RV Resort in beautiful Las Vegas, Nevada, with easy access to I-15. Known as the 'entertainment capital of the world', the fabulous Las Vegas Strip is only minutes away, yet you'll be in a peaceful, secluded environment with a mountain view at the campground, which offers a convenient online reservation system. The first class adults-only facility offers all the comforts of resort living, with a lovely clubhouse, heated pool, and spa.

For outdoor fun, Las Vegas style, a visit to Lake Mead, the largest man-made lake in the western hemisphere, is essential. The beautiful Colorado River provides exciting rafting tours as well as hot springs and great fishing for rainbow trout. Hiking is fantastic at these natural sites, with the amazing flora and fauna of southern Nevada yours to explore.

A trip to see the Hoover Dam, the 726 feet structure that controls the Colorado River is a must given its close proximity to the RV Park. A visitor's center provides insight into the construction of the massive dam, an amazing feat of engineering, and of course, no trip to Las Vegas would be complete without paying a visit to the incredible themed casinos that line the strip. There's no gamble about it, whether you're in Vegas to woo Lady Luck or to enjoy the fantastic natural attractions of the area, there is something for everyone when you stay at Las Vegas RV Resort, a fabulous desert retreat.

Made reservations in the morning of our stay, then called halfway through our 8 hr drive through the Mohave desert to confirm our reservations. We were assured during both calls that our reservations had successfully been made. Once we arrived at 10 pm, we were informed that we would not be allowed to stay at the resort and would have to find other accommodations, because our teardrop camper only required electric, not full hookups. This was not mentioned when we made our reservations, even though we mentioned the fact that we only needed electric at the time that we made our reservation. It was made very evident that we were not welcome there. After I made my displeasure known to the gate keeper, we were then told that we would be allowed to stay until morning, since it was already so late. Even then, the company's representative acted as if they were really doing us a favor and told us repeatedly that we needed to be out in the morning. After being treated as if we were lepers, we sat in our camper and debated whether we even wanted to stay in the city of Las Vegas any bit further if this was the kind of customer service we were going to encounter. Luckily, we decided to stay at the koa right on the strip, and would suggest this as a much better alternative to the Las Vegas rv resort. In the morning before we left the Las Vegas rv resort, we awoke early as our rv had become a sweat box as the hot sun hit the resort, which happened to be nothing more than a parking lot. It was so hot that our overpowered a/c couldn't keep up. On top of this, the bathrooms smelt like stale urine and dirty wet laundry. It ended up to be a blessing in disguise that we ended up on the koa right on the strip rather than 20 minutes away at the Las Vegas rv resort. The only reason we considered this resort in the first place was to save money over the koa, but the old adage "you get what you pay for" rang true for us. We were much happier at the koa within walking distance to the strip

The new owners were paid by the city of Las Vegas or county of Clark to "Zero Scape" the resort. This means there is no grass or vegetation in the park. If you're traveling with your pets, please keep this in mind because the asphalt can burn their paw pads. There's no shade at the sites. There's no privacy between sites. I had a full-timer next to me this trip and their sewer lines were old and leaking. Needless to say I smelled their sewage whenever they dumped their tanks.
