The staff and owners are very friendly and are dedicated to providing you with a nice stay. The park is newer and the level sites are spaciously laid out. The bathhouse and laundry are up to date and kept spotless. There are numerous individual residential style restrooms with showers. There is a large communal fire pit and also a volleyball court situated on a huge football field sized grassy field for the children. They have a 'snack shack' that serves good food and is open on the weekends (as of this writing). It is located 7 miles east of Maryville off of US Hwy 321 on Old Walland Rd.which is narrow but is large enough to handle any big rig. The satellite imagery of the campground doesn't do it any justice, it is much nicer than that. I camped here in a 37' motor home with a toad and will definitely return here whenever I am in the area. On a personal note, I would NOT take Hwy 321 to Pigeon Forge; after leaving Townsend the road gets narrow and is a steep and winding mountain road with some very sharp switchbacks. Highway 441 through Sevierville is a much better road.

Overall a very good experience. We had a nicely shaded spot and all necessary hook-ups. Pulled in and were hooked up to power, water and sewer in about 10 minutes.

This is a very clean and well run campground.

We loved camping at Misty River. The staff go above & beyond to make you feel welcome. There is an awesome playing field for the kids. The pool & hottub were clean & the playground was fun & safe for my kids. It's a great area to visit with lots of stuff to do. I highly recommend! We liked it so much we're going back in a couple of weeks!

Improve with more tent site.

Very nice campground. Nice staff. Very nice bathhouse with individual bathrooms! Nice laundry. Due to mountains around the campground, LOTS of Wind even on clear nights. Had to put awning up daily due to winds. Other than the wind, beautiful campground! Will recommend to family/friends!

The Volunteer Campers (an internet forum group) held it's annual camping trip at Misty River in April 2012. We had 10 units with 26 people (I think) attending. We had 8 young children attending and both adults and kids had a marvelous time. The only negative I could find is the sound of traffic over on Rt 321, but that is something you get used to really quick. Bath house is kept remarkably clean with so many in/out. Love the way each shower is a complete bathroom (11 of them). The huge field in front of row E made the children's visit much more enjoyable. They played volleyball, hunted insects, played in the creek (ditch), found tadpoles and just had a great time being kids. Great place to visit

Misty River is a great place to camp! We have always enjoyed our stay in this campground.

Sites are long enough for a large 5th wheel and a freightliner with a small car. Water pressure is good. Owner escorted us to our site. We will return. Monthly rate is reasonable.

This is a very nice campground that is operated like a campground should be. The staff has a smile for you every time they see you. It is well laid out with nice flat and wide sites. The wifi is strong and the cable nice and clear. No problems at all during our stay. The bath house is the best one we have seen in 8 years of camping with large private bath rooms. We will be back again!
