Perfect Family Vacation

I have been coming to Myrtle Beach Travel Park since I was young with my own parents. Now I come with my husband and our three children. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Myrtle Beach. The staff is friendly and helpful. The facilities are very clean and updated. There is plenty to keep little ones busy with activities and nothing beats waking up to the ocean right outside the tent or camper. It doesn't matter if you want to be lazy on the beach or have a day full of activities, this is the place to be! I love meeting the truly friendly people that also camp there. I have never had a bad experience here. We will be camping here for many years to come!

My first stay :)

I found out about this campground from an RV show. Never been to North Myrtle beach before we usually go to South Myrtle. Of all the places we have stayed this is by far the best campground. Actually went back up to the reservation desk the first day and made reservations for 2014. We loved all the amenities, pool and lazy river was excellent. Great place to ride bikes and the mall and other stores are very close by. Loved the covered picnic tables and large camping lots. I would highly recommend this campground.

Spring Vacation

We usually enjoy MBTP and have a wonderful time there. This time however, when making our reservations I requested to NOT be put on the last site on the end. Unfortunately when we arrived, that's exactly where they put us. I asked if there were not other sites available on that same row and was told no and it was suggested to me that next time I make my reservation earlier. The reservation was made over four months in advance. The campground was not that full and the row I requested wasn't completely full the first two days we were there. Needless to say, we spent our week staring at a large propane tank right outside our door which is why I requested to NOT be put on that site in the first place. The tank is enclosed in chain link fencing and they do not mow the weeds inside the fence so you can imagine it's not a very pretty sight. Also, the tank is next to the camp store and laundry so we also had to deal with the traffic coming and going all week long. We've camped here 4 times now and this was the first time I've been disappointed. I understand they cannot reserve specific sites but you would assume they would honor a request to NOT be put on a specific site. The campground itself is wonderful although the camp store is sorely lacking. There is a Walmart almost within walking distance but still, it would be nice if the camp store had unique gifts and more grocery items.

We RV camped at Myrtle Beach Travel Park May 13-18, 2013. I grew up camping there, loved it then & I love it now. It had been 3 years since I had been there. This is a family campground, very kid & pet friendly. No motorcycles, those can be parked at the office, (thank God, because if was Bike Week). No golf carts, the few you see are permanent site people. When there's a lot of carts it gets very dangerous.
Hey kids there is a new game room, it wasn't open when we were there, but they were putting the finishing touches on. The lazy river/pool & indoor pool were beautiful. Nice climate controlled Bathhouses. Revamped General Store, Laundry & Grill. Go by the grill for a hand scooped ice cream, we enjoyed ours down by the lake.
You could stay there & not have to leave. The General Store has most anything you need. Milk-Bread & camping supplies & everything else!
There is a Tanger Outlet, Steak-n-Shake, Bogangles,Golden Coral, Walmart, Dollar Tree, Marshalls less than a 1/2 mile down the road. This can all be reached without getting on the main highway. If you love to shop, Myrtle Beach is for you. And lots of Theaters with a wide variety of entertainment. Then the food "wow", they have it all!
I told you I love Myrtle Beach Travel Park!
