Hawaiian Luau week-end
0 % of users found this review helpful
This was our first time at OCC. We had the Hawaiian Luau week-end, and I can't express enough how great the staff was! The staff was fair with all of the kids and ran a great Luau! Hats off especially to Nick! We were there with our grandkids, and we will be back!

Impressive campground until you get to your site, which is the smallest I have ever seen. Our 30ft camper was hanging into the other site and our hitch was almost in the road. I felt like I was at the Masters Golf Tourney, there as a golf cart passing us every 5 mins. At one point I could not hear a friend on the phone since there were too many carts going past my site. Staff was friendly and kind, the main office is nicely done. If you stay here do not stay near the playground. There were kids getting out of the river at 10pm at night in 60 degree weather, and bikes after dark rule was not enforced, nor was quiet hours when our neighbors decided to blast their music for over an hour. There is a steep hill coming into the campground which is difficult with a larger rig, our stabilizer bar broke coming down the hill, good thing its still under warranty. We made the best of the rainy weekend inside our camper, there was no drainage on our side what so ever, by Sun we had 2-3 inches of standing water. Good location, the brewery tour was fun, and lots to see and do. Next time we will stay at Lake Wissota State Park. We are done with private campgrounds forever! They all have the golf carts everywhere.
