Couple in early 50's here in get away from work for 1 week. No noise, lots of trees, safe even grounds to walk around no city views /freeways,bldgs,etc. Wonderful & friendly neighbors parking all around us. Laundry facility Super Clean "Bring Quarters and your own Detergent" do not worry if you do not have any Walmart is just a 10 minute drive out of park. The River has good running current Bring your Water Shoes Gravel is rough. When you Hear Winds close your awnings word of "personal mishap experice". Entire facility is super clean, excellent site to bring children to enjoy country living at its best with all the comforts of city living. Looking forward to bringing our 4 grandkids this summer. Available Bathrooms and Showers with combination locks in several locations No need to run back to your own camper or RV. The Owners are friendly people. They walk around the camp saying hello at evening and answering questions or assisting like us with our cable connection. All I can say is make early early reservations call or go online I am so glad I got a space on short notice, week of mother's day. We are enjoying our lazy days and will be back for sure.

Pleasant experience

Pleasant experience This is a very quiet campground away from the highway yet close to outlet malls and other shopping and services. It is next to the beautiful San Marcos River. Campground roads are paved with level gravel sites and concrete pads next to the campers. Most of the sites were shaded by large trees. Grounds are well maintained. The bathrooms, laundries, pool. Office and Activity Center are clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. Wi-Fi was excellent from our site. The indoor pool is very warm. There is a playground for children. Nice fenced area to let the dogs run. This park has a variety of full timers, winter Texans and families that camp on weekends This Park is a great central point for exploring the area, about halfway between San Antonio and Austin. This past winter was our third winter in this park and we have booked our dates for next winter. We stayed here February March and April 2012 and camped in a Fifth wheel camper.

Weekend RV Trip - San Marcos

Checking in to the park was very easy, security and lighting were great, and the amenities very nice! Restrooms were very spacious and were kept clean. I would prefer to be a little closer to a view of the river, but the gazebos and other amenities made our weekend retreat a special time.
