Not as good as the first time

Had a great time last year so decided to come back. We had fun this year but were a bit disappointed in several areas. First and most important, we didn't see Michelle (activities co-ordinator) as much. The kids complained that there were less activities this year. Come to find out, Michelle's hours had been cut. It is unfortunate in an effort to save money the management at Pine Acres had to cut back on activities which the kids in our group thoroughly enjoyed in the past. Another thing we noticed was people getting turned away at the pool because they didn't have a towel. PLEASE!!! If you are going to require people to sit on towels at the pool, you should provide them like many hotels do. Finally, on a cold an rainy day, the pool & hot tub were closed. We wanted to enjoy the hot tub, asked several employees why the hot tub was closed, and were told several different reasons. What wasn't cool was one person told us it was closed for repairs and the next day someone told us they had problems with it last week but it had been fine since. DON'T LIE TO YOUR PATRONS!!!!!!!!!!

Pine Acres since 2003

We have enjoyed camping with you every summer since 2003. We have rented RV's,spent anniversary in waterfront cabin and brought our own trailer. It is our families favorite campground. The sites are good size. The park is kept clean and is staffed by very nice people. We always take the kids to the Southwick Zoo and Bogey Lanes down the road. Can't wait to come back next year. Only wish would be that there were more activities for the kids during the week. There is often things to do on the weekend but camping days are long and it is good to have options

Feels Like Home

The minute we turn into Pine Acres I feel like we are in our Camping Home. Most of the staff is a familiar face, the sites and facilities are extremely clean, pool gorgeous and lake relaxing. The sites are what you pay for. Some are a bit tight so do not park a big rig on them but if you have a lovely large window like we do pay the extra and get a premium site on the water. Rent their boats! A few hours ON the lake is a real treat. The restaurant offers "light fare" and their breakfast is really good. We look forward to spending a week here every year. Great place for kids but if you like "very quiet" try to go during the week. Pine Acres is a pet friendly park. The new "pet park" is great. Treat yourself to a stay a Pine Acres. If you are retired try a stay "off season" the peacefulness is awesome.
