Check in was speedy and prompt, even though very busy. Directions were good to our space and map provided. Park is extremely crowded and busy. Traffic within park extremely noisy and constant most all day long. THE WORST THING THOUGH IS THE FIRE RINGS. WAY TO CLOSE TO OUR RV. NEIGHBORS RING 8 FEET FROM OUR GAS TANK WITH 80 GALLONS. AND PROPANE TANK. LOOKING OUT OUR WINDOW ON OUR SLIDE OUT AND WE MAY AS WELL BE SITTING AROUND THE FIRE. NO WAY COULD WE OPEN ANY WINDOWS OR VENTS RV WOULD FULL OF SMOKE. ITS REALLY IRONIC FOR A STATE LIKE CALIFORNIA WHO TAKES GREAT PRIDE ON ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES THAT THEY ALLOW SO MUCH UNHEALTHY SMOKE. WOULD NEVER STAY AT THIS RV RESORT AGAIN DUE TO FIRE RINGS,TERRIBLE, EASY TO CORRECT THIS AND WOULD BE MUCH SAFER AND HEALTHIER FOR ALL

After a 3 day stay at PCV, we were told by security that we had a noise complaint that our heater was too loud. Apparently our neighbor had their tent set up right next to our trailer and our heater woke them up. Our trailer is 2015 model and I'm sure no louder than any other trailer at PCV. WE WERE given 2 notices. In stead of asking our neighbors to sleep inside their trailer they had with them as well, we were told not to turn it on. I believe that's the risk u take when sleeping in a tent at the campsite. People all over PCV had music on loud until 2 am and we're given warnings because our heater was too loud! Give me a break! Very disappointing. Needless to say, I left my heater on at night. Did not want my kids to be cold.

Stayed here for 1 wk with my wife and mini schnauzer in our 32' class A and tow vehicle. Loved it so much we are coming back for a month in March of 2016. Great sites, great staff and friendly town. Walked the beach every day. 2 ducks shared our site. Can't wait to go back. Only an hour drive to the famous Hearst Castle, awesome stay.
