I took my family back to Red Apple again for Labor Day 2011. There were 6 families in our group. 5 of us wound up going at great effort due to Tropical Storm Irene washing out a lot of roads in VT. The last family could not make it as Jim is a state highway worker & those guys were working 7 days a week right after Irene to get our roads passable again. The Tuesady before Labor Day, 2 days after Irene, Jim called Red Apple to let them know he would not be able to make it due to his work requirements. While at the campground Jim's sister & I both spoke face to face with the owners to clarify Jim's situation & make sure he would get a refund as he was heartbroken that he was unable to leave VT. We were both told by the same owner that a refund would be no problem & "not to worry". I feel I should tell you this, THEY RENTED OUT JIM'S SITE TO A NICE COUPLE FROM NJ!!!!. Jim had paid for this site in full already. Jim's refund would not "cost" them a nickel. A few weeks later, Jim called Red Apple to see about his refund & was told they don't provide refunds for holiday reservations. I called Red Apple right after that because I figured there was some mistake. The same owner who told me to my face "not to worry" now would not speak to me about Jim's situation due to privacy issues. We are not talking about a huge amount of money here. But if the owners are willing to STEAL this small amount from a guy who worked his butt off so you & I could drive through VT, what are they willing to STEAL FROM YOU? It is a very nice place with well manicured grounds but you can not trust the owners to do what they say they will, or even be fair. You've been warned.

After years of being there under former management...the present leaves a lot to be desired!! Will not return! You can have it!!

good camping sites had nice cemment slade, park is very clean, owners are very pleasent and helpfull. campground is close to beaches, the marginal way and good resturants.

This is a friendly, comfortable, and clean place to stay. Dave, Jane, and their staff couldn't be better. They work very hard to meet the needs of every guest at their park. We had a great weekend at Red Apple Campground.

I come back every year for Columbus day weekend. The weather has always been great and I love staying here. Jane & Dave run a great place. It is always spotless, well cared for, and they treat everyone like family. Great location too! I highly recommend staying at the Red Apple Campground.

A perfect way to end our camping season. Clean, quiet and peaceful, Red Apple Campground is at the top of our list for places to stay. We were here last year and had a great time. We returned this year and were not disappointed. We will be back next year. Thank you for a good time. Our daughters did not want to leave.

My wife and I spent the Columbus day weekend at the Red Apple Campground and what a wonderful weekend it was. First, we were greeted by Mrs. Berg, who asked that we call her Jane, she said everything was ready at our cabin and all we needed to do was enter and enjoy. The cabin was very clean and cozy with all the amenities of a hotel suite. Mr. Berg, Dave, met with us a short time later making sure all was ready for our weekend stay and avail himself to any questions we may have had about the campground. Our stay was enjoyable and the weather so prefect that I wondered if Dave and Jane had something to do with this, as well. Thank you Dave and Jane.

Excellent. Best with owners in park. The Bergs are great hosts and took care of our every need.

David & Jane Berg were great. They provided transportation to and from Kennebunkport and many excellent tips for the area. The lobsters delivered to our site were wonderful. Red Apple is a very quiet and clean campground.

We wanted to go on one last camping trip before putting the camper away for the winter. A friend recommended Red Apple CG. It was just under two hours from home, and we were extremely pleased with the cleanliness of the CG and friendliness of the owners. The only negative thing about our stay was the weather, and that's beyond our control. I would highly recommend the Red Apple to our camping friends. Although the cost was high, the quality and helpfulness of the staff was well worth the price.
