Nice camping, poor City Ordinances

We had a great stay at River's End Campground. However, we have a dog that really loves the beach and Tybee Island has a beach wide ordinance AGAINST pets on the beach. ( River's End did let us know before we came, but we were in town for business and came anyway.) I get that many humans don't clean up after there pets responsibly so maybe that is a factor. There are two "dog parks" directly adjacent to the campground, but apparently the city doesn't see the need to keep them clean and neat. So for families without pets, or that don't care to take them to the beach, Rivers End Campground is a great place to stay only minutes from the beach!

Peaceful Weekend Getaway

This was my first stay at Riversend and I was in cabin 103 which allows pets. The cabins are nicely tucked away with the pool and pavilion across the lane. I was very impressed by how friendly and helpful the staff were, how organized and clean the campground and facilities are. The beach was a short stroll down Polk street and was sparsely populated which I really loved since I wanted a weekend of solitude. So many dolphins on that end of the island too! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and definitely plan to return.
