Favorite campground

This is one of our favorite camperground to visit. This year the service for accommodations went down. It's almost like they want the front row to be full no matter the inconvenience of the camper. With small children, in the past they went out of their way to make sure we were not on Polk St. This time, we were required to move to the front row for the other campers that had reservation ahead of us for the weekend. The spots stayed empty, and many people were complaining of the same required move for campers that never filled the spots. All of this would be completely understandable had the campground been full. This is a great place to camp, and everyone is friendly, and we will be back.

We had a great time on Tybee Island and at River's End Campground for Fall Break. Two families with kids ranging from age 7 - 17. Staff is friendly and very helpful. We rented golf carts which we highly recommend!!

Great stay!

This was a last minute, one night stay trip. There were no hotels available and we were on a bit of a budget, so we decided to camp. We chose the W/E site, and it was a great value for the price. It was very close to the river beach and North Beach. The bathhouses were very clean, as well as the place as a whole. Front office was very nice and helpful, and someone escorted us to our site so we wouldn't get lost (it's a pretty big place). We really enjoyed our stay and we will definitely be back!

Nice campground...

but prepare yourself, this is a city owned park. While our campsite was large enough, other sites seemed small. One row backs up to a pretty busy road but the A/C white noise masked road noise. This is a nice place to put your camper if you intend to use it much like a hotel. Staff is friendly and easy to work with but they are busy and the office closes early in the evening. They have at least one work camper onsite if you need something. The kids could ride their bikes some but again, the place stays busy. The pool was a great surprise! It was rarely busy, well maintained, great temperature, etc. We encountered lots of other families so the kids always had friends to play with at the pool. We used our 2 A/C units for the whole stay with no power issues. For the price, I expected a little more room but it is an island! I would not hesitate to recommend the campground but if you are looking for a true rural campground setting I would recommend Skidaway Island State Park instead.
