Was expecting more woods - Tent Camping

We are from this town and always went out of town for camping. One day we thought why not give it a try since it is literally 10 minutes away from us. We were allowed to bring our dog, which was great. There were only 4 tent camping spots in the entire campground. We chose the one with the most trees. The other three are not under trees, but in a little "ravine" between two camp roads. Our electric didn't work at our site, so luckily i had a really long extension cord in my car, and we used that (and the other camp sites picnic table) to make our electric skillet waffles when we woke up. We wouldn't have been able to do that if there were people camping next to us. Most of the park, at least as far back as we were, were for campers who seemed to stay there year round. Everyone has a golf cart. They have two little cabins for rent (maybe more, can't recall) and the two we saw had tall pine trees in front of the poarches. The bathroom was what i would call "open air" where the facility itsself was made out of plywood and 2"x4"s. It was very hard to use the restroom without touching any of the spider webs and would not be easy for old people or people with little kids. Maybe the facilities are nicer for the long-term campers. There were no showers in the restroom closest to us. We did have a little "babbling brooke" behind our tent, so that was nice.

Half bad

Rented a modern cabin, online add said bathroom well it had a toilet no shower or sink or hot water.had a curtain for a door. Windows had mold all around them, a/c unit had all the dust and dirt from it all over the bed. Entry door had a one inch gap under door for critters to come in. The lower campground showers had a real mold problem and smell. Mold was half way up every shower. Living in NH we don't have campgrounds like that, and I do a lot of camping. My wife did go to the upper showers and she said they were real small but not as dirty as the lower ones. Over all it did not look like a bad campground it just needs some care. As far as the mold goes they need to get some good ventilation in the showers and clean them with bleach every day.

We rented the luxury cabin for 4 nights and have to say this is one of the nicest campgrounds we have been in. The pool is large and clean with a lot of loungers and chairs, the grounds were very well maintained and the people we met were all friendly.we will definately go back again.

This was our first time camping here, we got a great large, level site for our RV (#21). What impressed us the most was the friendliness of everybody we came across, whether it was staff or other campers. The campground was very clean, the pool was beautiful and not crowded at all when we were there. Our grandchildren had a blast fishing, swimming, and playing on the playgrounds. We also enjoyed the activities they had planned for the weekend. Fun for everybody, and they always made you feel welcome. We highly recommend this campground, and will be back again next year.
