We were there for a family reunion, and had 14 sites together and were confronted by the owner on the third night telling us that our laughter was too loud, even though nobody else was around us. He was very rude and just wanted to argue. We spent over $4,000 as a group. He even spoke disrespectful about his employees in front of us and the employee. We are all good Christians and it was quite disgusting to be treated in such a matter. If you are looking to camp in a group or have more than one person, this is not the place.

Will not be returning

We went to visit some friends for a few hours that were staying at this campground because we were interested in staying ourselves. When we first arrived, we were greeted by the owner sitting in her golf cart telling us that it will cost $5/day per person to visit. (As she was looking in our vehicle) Really? We had 2 adults and 2 kids(toddler and baby) who came to visit . Just to enter the campground, it cost 20 dollars. We were not allowed to park on grass, only in designated areas and then we had to walk to the campsite. The playground smelled like feces. Needless to say, we will not be returning for any camping experience at the Yogi Bear in South Haven. I wouldn't recommend this campground to anyone. Overall, bad experience!

Children's Bike Path Needed

I can find no fault with the beautiful and spotless faculty, or the people that run the campground. We arrived during the week in the off-season and, had a wonderful camping experience. Since our children and grandchildren are grown, we opted for a larger site further from the hub of activities. My problem was with parents who didn't want to take away from "their" party time to watch their children. There are small rental petal bikes with tall red flags attached that campers can rent for their kids. Which helped us immensely since the kids were always underfoot (which is waaaay better than under tires). Once as we were trying to leave the park, we had two children under the age of 5 alongside our front truck tires trying to keep up with us. Now, when I say "near" us, I'm saying they were close enough that we had to stop, or we would have run one of them over. Where were the parents? No where to be seen! I did not sit outside once after the invasion of the little people. At one time, I counted 7 children who continually circled our camper....for hours There is a dog run to keep the critter's safe, and I suggest a bicycle path away from vehicle traffic be built. It would help keep the children safe as some of the parents seemed to have their own agendas. If this review helps save the life of one child, it was worth writing. If it wakes up the partying parents...it would be even better! In the meantime, I hope the park owners take this seriously before there are dire consequences. This is an accident waiting to happen!

FUN!

What a GREAT weekend we had at the Spooktacular weekend events! All festivities were very organized and fun for all the kids. Susan did such a great job working with the kids! We came out with a pop up and also rented a cabin - both experiences were great. The sites are very well maintained and the kids are able to roam around without me feeling nervous of their whereabouts. The bathrooms are SO clean - very refreshing for a camp. We will certainly return! Thanks for creating many memories for our family this Fall!
