we were told by management that 2 vehicles needed to be parked elsewhere (1 was put there temporarily to allow another camper access to park his camper .the other vehicle belonged to a senior citizen told the owner that she couldn't walk the distance to the overflow parking and he said "I'm sure you can figure it out". During the course of our 4 day visit ,after catching static about our bad parking and a visitor staying late, several complaints from our group about a large number of campers #1.a LARGE group of campers came in and set up 2 screen houses, a cluster of 5 tents on 2 sites ,6 more tents near the playground and parking for 6 cars {the biggest annoyances from this was a combination of them being allowed to set up -and not at all quietly- between 5 and 6:30 in A.M. we were woken up the next morning at about 6 by an equally loud performance. The night of the 4th they played a stereo loudly .(due to what seemed to be a lack of interest by the staff, I confronted the group myself (which was at least 20 people)at midnight -not only about the stereo and the early awakenings we were receiving but about the 3 kids in a tent that were screaming their lungs out. Oh I almost forgot to mention the added blessing of having the camp water stop about 5 different times during the weekend

a hidden gem

I hear allot of talk about the beauty of places like Letchworth and StoneyBrook. Granted those places are beautiful they dont have anything on Sugar Creek. the magnificent walk as you go behind the big falls is breathtaking. as far as you go there is more beauty to see. Sugar creek is an amazing place to experience the beauty of upstate. the owners are so kind and helpful and there are some amazing tent campsites. This is somewhere you need to go and check out. You will be amazed more people are not talking about Sugar Creek.

Experiences from a Seasonal
100 % of users found this review helpful
I have been camping at Sugar Creek for years as a seasonal. The experience of camping among the trees with the sound of the creeks and waterfalls is like experiencing a little piece of heaven. Daniel and Merav have done everything they can to make SC a destination for families. Since they bought the campgrounds they have strived to make improvements to the grounds that had previously been neglected. They have worked so hard to make seasonals and vacationers to always feel welcome and like they are home away from home. You won't be sorry if you come to check out SC. Be sure to bring the kids. Activies geared towards children nearly every weekend. Be sure to check their Facebook page to keep updated about all the awesome themed weekends. Come on down and be ready to have some fun!!

LOVE Sugar Creek Glen
100 % of users found this review helpful
We found Sugar Creek Glen several years ago (my daughter saw pictures of a friends camping trip with gorgeous waterfalls and asked to go there). For our first trip we camped for a week, when leaving from that visit we booked our next trip.... A long weekend. That was it, we were hooked and became seasonal campers. This is a campground with plenty of areas to hike/walk, creeks to walk, swim in, fish, tube etc. The owners plan weekend events for both children and adults (outdoor movies, karaoke, magicians, bands etc). If you like to enjoy nature, the beautiful creeks, hiking and hanging out by the campfire this is the campground for you. If you are looking for wifi, swimming pools, laundry facilities etc you won't find it here..... In my opinion you should probably be looking for hotels versus campgrounds anyway if that is the case. The owners are very friendly and certainly go above and beyond to make sure everyone is happy during their stay. I highly recommend Sugar Creek Glen.

Great Place to Relax
0 % of users found this review helpful
My husband and I are seasonal campers at Sugar Creek Glen Campground. We love that the owners are friendly and very helpful. The campground is very well maintained and clean. Always have entertainment on the weekends for the adults and children. Our favorite is Wet and Wild Weekend, although the owner has the hose not sure that is fair! :) It is very family oriented and a good time for all. We love to relax on our deck and talk with all the campers. Overall we give Sugar Creek Glen an A+ in everything! Can't wait for the new season to start we really miss being there on weekends!
