This campground was perfect for us to have as a home base and see the Dallas Fort Worth area. We camped in #83 which was a premium spot. None of the spots seemed to be close to your neighbor which was great for us since we had 3 slides and a patio fold out. The fishing was excellent and a great place for standup paddle board. We decided to stay an extra few days to go to the Grapefest, it was so much fun. We even volunteered to pour California wine at the event. All services were excellent even after the floods last year. The city is working hard to get all spots back to normal. The only recommendation I have is to put a air conditioner in the laundry room, it was unbearable in September.

The Vineyards is located on a lake just north of Dallas in Grapevine. The sites are wide, concrete, and have patio areas with tables at most of the sites. The spaces that run downhill are not level and our front tires ended up off the ground. The lower areas looked more level. We enjoyed our stay at the campground although it was a little tricky getting to the park as we had to drive down a residential street to get into the park. A major drawback is that we had to pay 100% in advance and their cancellation policy is pretty punitive. In all of our years of rv camping this is the first time we've had this experience.

Love The Vineyards

This was our second trip to the Vineyards Campground. We stay in a cabin and love it. The cabins are clean and more than adequately furnished. The view from the porch is to die for in the evening. The sunsets are grand. The campground is kept very clean and is quite after quite time starts. My wife likes how close it is to old town Grapevine, she loves to shop. This would be a perfect campground if it had WiFi in the cabins. Many campers/cabin dwellers would love to have WiFi. It wouldn't just allow work alcoholics the use, but also allow the visitors the ability to stream live programs from the television channels that the camp ground doesn't provide. Also the DVD players need to be in a place that the guests can reach. My suggestion is to put a small solid wooden shelf under the TV shelf. Other than those two suggestions, we couldn't find anything wrong. The employees are the most friendliest people you would want to deal with. My wife and I are planning to come back in the winter, just to see how it is then. We will be sure to let everyone know how the experience was.
