Great experience!

This was our first vacation in a few years, we ended up being so happy with our decision to stay at White River Campground. We stayed in one of the 33' deluxe cabins and it was even nicer than we expected, very roomy and beautifully done, with a large deck on the front and central air! We had 2 adults and 4 kids ranging in age from 18 to 8 years old and all of them, including the teenagers, had a terrific time. Lots of sleeping space, 2 seperate bedrooms and a loft, it also had a pull out sofa in the living room. All of the cookware, dishes, and silverware were provided. Our site backed to the woods and had a large fire pit with a cooking grate. We all loved swimming in the pool, and the campground store was great for firewood and last minute essentials. Our 8 year old loved the playground and the wading creek and we all spent alot of time fishing and hiking through the trails. The campground itself was very peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. The staff were all extremely friendly. There are many things to do near the campground, Michigan Adventures was just a few minutes away, we also drove into Muskegon and toured some WWII subs and ships, the kids loved that. We also spent a full day just swimming in Lake Michigan, miles and miles of beautiful sandy beaches. We packed alot of adventure into our 5 day trip. We are already planning our trip to White River Campground for next year!

First time staying here and it was an enjoyable experience. Large, level campsites. Decent space in between neighbors. Clean bath houses. Decent sized pool, but would not want a campsite near it because of the loudness of the kids. Not a big deal, but plenty of other campsites not near it.

Michigan Summer Vacation

The time we spent in Michigan was approximately twelve weeks. We spent five of these weeks in the White River RV park and the remaining seven weeks in two other locations. Had we known how nice the White River RV park was,(this was our first visit there), we would have spent the entire twelve weeks in that location. Management at the park was courteous and helpful. Our camping space was roomy and well shaded. The park for the most part was quiet and enjoyable. Its location is less than ten miles from Montague where where you can find restaurants, grocery stores, etc. available. If you like a campsite near water (river, creek & lake), this is the spot for you. We really like this park and have applied for a seasonal spot for next year!!
