May 2012 Stay at Willow Tree
0 % of users found this review helpful
We stayed at Willow Tree April 28 thru May 6. Our stay was relaxing and peaceful. The sites at Willow Tree are far better than any of the campgrounds we've visited. All the sites have a paved area where you park your vehicle and RV, have a grassy area and cement platform for the picknick table area. All the sites are large and most are pull throughs. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. We were really pleased with the bathroom facilities which are individual units with a toilet, sink and shower and are very clean. We especially enjoyed the lake which has a walking/biking trail with benches where you can sit and enjoy the scenery. It's a short drive to Myrtle Beach so we could still take in all that Myrtle Beach has to offer and then go back to a peaceful campground.

One of the best sites we have stayed at. Wi fi is slow and no cable are the only things that need attention, otherwise a 10 out of 10

This was our first time at Willow Tree. We stayed for a week. The experience was wonderful. It is a quiet, peaceful resort; a great place to relax. The lots were spaceious and we actually had one of the smallest lots there. Great walking trails and a catch and release pond if you are in the mood for fishing. The staff was excellent, be sure to meet Carl while you are there. He was very friendly, helpful and made sure to offer suggestions for things to do and places to go. North Myrtle beach is only about a 15 minute drive for extra things to do if needed. It was a very relaxing week. We will be back. If you are thinking about Willow Tree Resort, you will not regret it.

Oh So Nice!

This was our first time at Willow Tree Campground, but definitely not our last. Everything I read online about this park was right on. The lot sizes are great - so much larger than expected even after reading other reviews! Almost all sites were pull through - except for the lakefront sites. This is the best kept, cleanest park we have been to. Every member of the staff that we came in contact with were extremely courteous, friendly and helpful. Beautiful lake, great nature trails, plenty of recreation games, nice pools. Again, everything was clean, clean, clean! Although there is no cable service available in the park we were able to get great satellite service. Cell phone reception with T-Mobile was practically non-existant. Overall, we had a wonderful weekend and are currently planning to return for a full week in the fall.

Love this place. We have been here 5 times. All sites are large and the staff is very pleasant . They are always working so hard to keep the place clean . We try to go every year . We will be back again in November on a Lakefront site . Great place to relax and getaway from all the traffic of Myrtle Beach.

Prettiest and best kept campground we have EVER stayed in. Well groomed, well landscaped and just overall pretty. Lots for the kids to do and the adults. Very relaxing. Just can't say enough about this campground. Just great. Oh, pet friendly. Even provide the bags for cleanup.

Good Stay!

In the year or so that we have been part-time RVing, this is the 24th park we have stayed in. It was the cleanest, largest sites, best kept and was about $15 more that our average stay per night. We don't mind paying the extra for such a great stay. The staff and the other campers were friendly. We used the "trail" around the lake for bike riding. We will stay here again. We camped here in a FW.

This was our first time here and found everything as stated. The sites were very spacious and clean. I thought the store was so-so stocked, although than may have been more because it was considered off season. Location was just right, far enough out of the hustle of MB, but close enough to go to the beach if one wanted. My GPS tried to take me about 2/10's of a mile past the main entrance, so I had to turn around down the road. Not too fun with a 5th wheel. My wife complained it was too quiet. Really well laid out, but could have more trash receptacles, as we set the trash, but guess it was after they came around to pick it up, so it sat around until I took it over to the bath house. But maybe I'm.a late riser. We will be back, hopefully this fall. One suggestion wold be to have more information about the area and maybe golf courses. Info on golf specials would also be helpful. I would rate this as 4.5out of 5.

This is our second trip to Willowtree and I can honestly say that of all the places we've stayed from Texas to Florida this is probably the best. If you want a place that is away from the hustle and bustle of The Strand this is it...yet all that is accessible if desired. All RV sights are paved with patios and level with lots of space between spots. Go once and you will return I'm sure.

We feel right at home with a family of friends while we are at WillowTree RV Resort. From the management to the grounds people and the guests, it's a warm, friendly, peaceful atmosphere. We've looked at many campgrounds from the Carolinas through Florida and we feel the spaciousness of the sites and the cleanliness is the best we've found. We feel WillowTree RV Resort is our home base.
