wonderful stay!

We stayed here for a couple of days before and after running the Dusy-Ershim offroad trail. Staff was wonderful, bathrooms clean, nice firepits, well-stocked store. We really enjoyed the campground. We had friends staying in the RV portion of the resort and they had great spots too. Loved the ice cream social! We also rented a pontoon boat with friends for a little spin around Wishon Reservoir and that was fun. Keeping a good thought that the Rough Fire doesn't get too much closer to them. We did experience a couple of smoky days and some ash on our tent, saw lots of firefighters and the store was staying open a bit later for them - we ALL appreciate the firefighters in California. Would recommend this campground for those in tents OR in RVs and we would definitely stay here again.

We count on our trips to Wishon to "cure what ails us". Never disappointed. Totally relaxed. My only complaint was that I had to go home. :)

Smoky but fun

We registered and paid for our camp site on-line. We got an e-mail from "Wishon Village" stating that the smoke from the forest fires was really bad some days. We decided to go camping anyway. We spent Friday night and went to the damn on Saturday. We fished and had a good time in spite of the smoke (which progressively got worse). We would have left Saturday night, because of the smoke, but were too exhausted to drive home. We spent Saturday night and left early on Sunday. I really like the set up of the campground and the facilities. I would like to come back when all is clear of the forest fires. Thank you, Cindy Mesa

The campgrounds were quiet and clean. People were very nice. There were scheduled activities we didn't partake in but they were offered. There was a lot of smoke from the rough fire but no one could control that. Our dog enjoyed checking out the dog runs and they were very clean. The park is very nice and comfortable. We had shade to help us escape the heat in the late afternoon. It was overall a great experience
