    Winter getaway

The good: Ocean Lakes is a beautiful campground & we love vacationing there. Most of the employees are extremely friendly & helpful & normally anything you could possibly need is within walking distance. Wintertime is slow so we pretty much had the place to ourselves. The disappointing: Wifi was sketchy this trip, sometimes it worked OK, other times barely. There were hardly any campers so it wasn't the sharing of the bandwidth. The store was closed for inventory the last 6 days of our trip. We happened to have a vehicle this trip but if we had not (we did not the last time), that would have stunk! While using the (very clean) laundromat, I thought I'd stop in & browse. Not this trip. General comments: Obviously no fault of Ocean Lakes but it rained & was cold & windy the majority of our trip. That kept the few campers there inside of their campers for the most part so I didn't get to do one of the things I enjoy the most, which is talk to other campers from all over. I did get to see some absolutely beautiful sunrises on the beach, had an awesome camper site & got to explore the area on the rainy days. Overall a great trip despite the weather. Hopefully WIfi will improve next trip.
